Annual Members' Showcase - 2022

2022 marks the 10 year Anniversary of Chestertown River Arts which formed in 2012. We are pleased to begin the celebration of this milestone with an exhibit of fine work from our talented community of member artists. We continue the tradition of an open theme in which you decide your own subject, medium and format which best expresses your vision! As we are expecting multitudes of incredible entries for this much anticipated show, we are asking for your best work to be displayed. Guidelines and registration form below.

This is a Members Only Showcase but it’s not too late to join and participate in this exciting event.

EXHIBITION DATES: January 7th through January 30th

OPENING RECEPTION: First Friday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, please join us.

DROP OFF: Sunday, January 2nd, 1 – 3 pm and Monday, January 3rd, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

PICK UP: Sunday, January 30th , 1 – 3 pm and Monday, January 31st, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Registration Information: ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED BUT YOU MAY STILL REGISTER IN PERSON DURING THE EXHIBIT DROP OFF TIMES (shown above).

Registrations fee is $10 per submission. Artists are invited to submit up to 2 pieces - Registration is open to all members in good standing.

Please read the Exhibition Guidelines: 

• Artists must complete a registration form (below) prior to or at the time of submission. We encourage all artists to register online.
• Art to be hung on walls should be dry and securely wired according to weight with appropriate wire fasteners. Sawtooth hangers are not accepted except under special circumstances with prior approval. 
• Works submitted may not have been previously shown in a RiverArts exhibit.
• Art should be original. Reproductions of paintings or drawings such as giclees printed on canvas or paper are not accepted.
• Lithographs, etchings and other printmaking works of art should be created by the artist, numbered and signed.
• Photographic prints, digital and film, should be printed from the artists’ negative or digital file, ideally by or under the direction of the artist, and numbered and signed.
• Works on paper should be framed behind glass or plexiglass.
• Unframed works of fine art are accepted if appropriately finished and wired for hanging.
• Contact the gallery before submitting artwork over 40". We will do our best to accept oversized artwork but it will depend on the number of entries and available space in the exhibit. 
• Works of art requiring special or unusual display structures should be submitted with the structure for display. Contact the gallery to make special arrangements for items that are oversized or unusually heavy.
• Artists submitting work agree that the work will remain at the gallery until the end of the show unless special circumstances warrant otherwise.
• Artists agree to grant Chestertown RiverArts permission to use images of submitted work for promotional purposes, online and in print, at RiverArts' discretion.
• All work must be for sale unless the curator has solicited the work for a special circumstance.
• RiverArts retains a 35% commission on all sales
• Artists or their designees must drop off and pick up artworks within the scheduled dates and times. Late entries will not be accepted. RiverArts does not have adequate storage space to safely store and protect work after the exhibit is over.
• RiverArts reserves the right to refuse submissions that do not adhere to these guidelines. 

We now offer one-click registration! You can upload images of your works directly, in the registration form below. (Image submission is optional but not required to enter): 

• Files should be saved in jpeg format.
• Each file name should include your First Initial, Last Name, and the Title of the work (for example: A-Rodin-thinker.jpg).
• Click the "choose files" buttons below to upload one image of each piece you are submitting. 
• Be sure to match the correct image with the correct entry.

Be sure to fill out ALL required fields. To enter payment information: Calculate your payment amount ($10 per entry). 

Enter ONLY the dollar amount in the "Payment Amount" field, with no dollar sign (example: 10 for one entry or 20 for two entries).

Enter your credit or debit card number, expiration date, and CVC code (the three numbers on the back of the card).

Check that all the required information has been entered completely and correctly, and then click the "Submit" button. 

Check your email to be sure you have received a confirmation email. If you do not see the confirmation email, check your spam, folder. If you do not receive a confirmation, you are NOT registered. If this happens, contact us for assistance.
