"Weather or Not": an online Flash Exhibit in celebration of Earth Day (room two)

Nature is so powerful, so strong. Capturing its essence is not easy - your work becomes a dance with light and the weather. It takes you to a place within yourself. Annie Leibovitz

The last 12 months have been stormy in so many ways, but there have also been moments of beautiful light shining through. Spring brings the hope and promise of renewed life and cleansing showers. As life springs forward, the exhibit includes works-in-progress, sketches, unfinished pieces, and final masterpieces that illustrate “Weather or Not” we are ready.

But, what is a Flash Exhibit?

RiverArts created the Flash Exhibit in response to this time of rapid change and uncertainty: An online art show to offer artists an opportunity to show their work and the community to connect with artists and their work in the unique context of the current moment. Less formal than a traditional exhibition, a Flash Exhibit showcases the work of our community's talented artists in the spirit of exploration and spontaneity. We invite artists to welcome audiences into the process of art-making at any stage along the journey from the initial inspiration to the finished work.
