RiverArts will rent spaces beginning May 13 through the first week of October in front of the RiverArts windows in the arcade
Rentals are granted on a first come first served basis
Artists may book up to four (4) dates at a time
Each artist will be provided with a space of 8 feet x 3 feet to include one 6’ foot table, one vertical panel (optional upon request) and two chairs for $25.00 per Saturday. Four foot tables and a smaller space are available for $15.00 each.
Artists are responsible for their own set up and break down and sales. Tables must be set up by 8:30am and broken down no later than 4:00pm.
Setup may not obstruct the doors or views into any RiverArts facilities and must note be set up in front of KidSpot.
To comply with RiverArts Insurance Policies, setup must be within and may not extend past 100” feet of RiverArts facilities
Artists are responsible for monitoring their own tables and items. RiverArts is not able to watch artists' tables and will not be responsible for broken or stolen items displayed outside in the Arcade.
Multiple artists may share a table, but one single payment to RiverArts is required and each participating Artist must sign the Artist Agreement
The Executive Director is the monitor and supervisor for this privilege to sell in this space
Artists found not in compliance with these policies will not be allowed to book subsequent table rentals
Artists may cancel their rental within 7 days of their rental date without penalty. Cancellations made within fewer than 6 days will not be refunded.
In the event that RiverArts cancels an artist’s rental, the artist will be refunded the full fee. Rentals may be canceled by RiverArts in the event of weather emergencies or organization-wide closures.
Artists renting a table are entering into a contract with Chestertown RiverArts and agreeing to all the terms in this agreement
Artists must be a current RiverArts member to participate in Art in the Arcade
Artists must pay rental fee seprately per day, payment must be made at the time of registration
All work displayed must be for sale
Artists will be responsible for handling their own sales and sales tax
Artists agree to grant Chestertown RiverArts permission to use images of work for promotional purposes, online and in print, at RiverArts' discretion
At the end of the rental period, artists agree to take all unsold work and materials with them. RiverArts does not have adequate space to safely store and protect art.
Liability: The Artist agrees to hold RiverArts and its employees free from any liability or claim for damages or suit for or by reason of any injuries to any person or property of any kind whatsoever, from any cause whatsoever, arising out of the use and occupation of the premises by the renting party; and the renting party hereby covenants and agrees to indemnify Chestertown RiverArts from all liability or damage on account of or by reason of any such injuries or damage.
