Class

April 27, 2023: Beginning Watercolor Class

Dates: Thursday, April 27th, May 4, May 11 @ 6pm

Location: This class will meet at the Arts Education Center 200B High Street in downtown Chestertown (next to the RiverArts Clay Studio & across from Evergrain Bakery).

Cost: $125 per participant, $35 Materials Fee

In this 3 week, introduction to watercolor, instructor Jim Mahla will demonstrate various techniques, including brush handling, discuss color values and the color wheel. Students will learn to paint a color landscape from a drawing provided by the instructor. Students are welcome to bring in a photograph of their own to paint in the later classes.

Publicity Policy

RiverArts reserves the right to use photos taken during all classes and programs for publicity purposes. Registration in a class or attendance at an event gives RiverArts permission to use images without further consent or compensation.

Student Property

RiverArts is not responsible for artwork and other property left on the premises and has no liability if such property is lost, stolen or damaged, except in instances when artwork is displayed in gallery exhibitions and covered by insurance. Artwork or property left two weeks after the class ends will be discarded.
