Tuesday, March 23: Discover Louise Glück, America's Nobel Laureate, with Dr. James Allen Hall

Poet, Professor, and Director of the Rose O'Neill Literary House at Washington College Dr. James A. Hall returned to the RiverArts Salon for another wonderful exploration of poetry, this time of three poems by the Nobel Laureate Louise Glück. The poems are exquisite and led to another first-rate Salon discussion!

Louise Glück: America's Nobel Laureate:

In 2020, the Nobel Prize in Literature was awarded to Louise Glück, a poet who published her first collection in 1968 when she was in her mid-twenties. In its citation, the Nobel Committee marked Glück's accessible language, her urgent voice, and her use of biting wit and humor. We'll talk about these characteristics--and perhaps more!--in looking at three poems by America's most recent Nobel Laureate.
