Heidi Wetzel has been a sculpture artist for over 20 years living on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Her artwork is a broad array of woven sculptures made from natural fibers and mixed media. She weaves wall hangings, wrapped vases, ceramic bowls and flower ikebana trays and baskets. Weavings range from traditional to ethnic designs. Materials include waxed linen, cedar bark, leather , hand spun yarn, cane, natural reed and sweet grass. She creates colorful, fascinating object d'art that are often useful and always a decorative focal point.
