Joan Strand retired to Chestertown in 2012, and began Metalsmithing classes at the Delaware Art Museum. She has been active in RiverArts since its founding, and was its first Treasurer. She has exhibited her silver jewelry, pottery, and botanical drawings in exhibitions at RiverArts.
