The farm is known as O'Niell Farm on Roundtop Road beyond the Chester Harbor area. Hanson took this picture with a Google Pixel 3 smartphone, showing mature winter wheat ready for harvesting.
Note on Composition: Notice the leading lines guiding the viewers' eyes through the picture. Hanson picked the perfect perspective from which to achieve his aim here.
This image was taken on July 2 just after sunset after a powerful thunderstorm on the bluff at Tolchester. Sue was trying to capture the lavender reflections on the Bay.
Note on Composition: Several beautiful horizontal bands of rich color framed by just a hint of trees on either side and darker tones top and bottom. Chopping off most of an object on the sides is normally a compositional no no. Here it works well as a delicate device to hold the eye steady.
George took this picture through his bedroom window in Symphony Village, Centreville, July 17.
Note on Composition: Not just another bunny picture. Interesting that the only facial feature is that one big eye. But you imagine the bunny's expression. Good rule of thirds subject placement and good clean background.
