Tuesday, March 16: Poem of Resistance with Robert Earl Price

Acclaimed local poet Robert Earl Price joined us to read & answer questions about two poems of resistance from his book Blood Flow. These poems were sparked by local (Chester River) events.

  • A Poem of Remembrance” - p.28
  • “Celebrating Juneteenth at Sumner Hall” - p.38

Price encouraged the group to talk how the poems make the reader/listener feel, rather than try to extract a deep philosophical discussion.
