To help us keep our spaces open while protecting our visitors, staff, and volunteers during the current surge:
Everyone over the age of 2 must wear masks indoors at all RiverArts spaces, regardless of vaccination status. We also ask that you practice good social distancing, especially when gathered indoors for a lengthy period of time, as in a class.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to respond to changing conditions.

This class is full and registration has closed, but more Beginners Wheel classes are on the way, so please stay tuned!
This course introduces basic pottery wheel techniques to beginning students with a focus on throwing bowl and cylinder forms. Students will be shown the step-by-step process of wedging, centering, throwing, trimming, and glazing clay into finished pieces. Class time and the encouraged Open Studio practice time will enable students to create at their own level and improve their skills with clay.
The class will be held at the Clay Studio from 6 - 8:30 pm on Tuesdays, running from July 27th through August 31st.
Included with instruction is twenty-five pounds of cone 6 clay (Standard Brown 112) and six Open Studio tickets. If you need a basic pottery toolkit, they are available for purchase at the Studio for an additional $30.
Please email the Studio manager Chris at email@example.com with any questions.
