Jump into your dreams, psyche, and express yourself in a fun, intuitive way using one of the most popular and accessible (non-digital) art forms. Learn a little something about collage’s changing but alluring new place in the history of art. All material and tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own cool collaging materials and family or vintage photos if you want to incorporate them.

RiverArts is not responsible for artwork and other property left on the premises and has no liability if such property is lost, stolen or damaged, except in instances when artwork is displayed in gallery exhibitions and covered by insurance. Artwork or property left two weeks after the class ends will be discarded.

My work invites you to explore the cleverness, beauty, and rhythm of our world that often hides right in front of you. My favorite medium, my first love, is a return to my childhood facility with collage and upcycling mixed with writing rhymes. Perhaps it’s similar to way a bird might construct a nest from what’s available. For me it’s a very pleasant way to concoct new worlds. My early profession as a youth services librarian fueled my appreciation and joy for, and importance of great books to share. My new book intertwines these loves.
